Moroccan Mint
Mineral-Rich hillsides of Zhejiang Pronvince, China
Mint | Refreshing | Strong
In Morocco, mint tea is a symbol of warmth, hospitality and tradition known as atay, it’s served throughout the day in homes, markets and cafes as a sign of respect and connection. The ritual is as meaningful as the tea itself; green tea is steeped in fresh spearmint and sugar, then poured from high above the glass to aerate the liquor to create a light, foamy crown. The host usually serves three rounds, each cup slightly different in strength and bitterness, said to represent life, love and death.
Inspired by the timeless tea culture of Morocco, this powerful blend pairs Chinese gunpowder tea with fresh, Washington-state grown peppermint. When steeped, the tightly rolled leaves release a golden liquor with a crisp, minty aroma and smooth vegetal undertone. The flavor is clean and balanced with a sweet lingering coolness.
Moroccan Mint contains high amounts of caffeine. Can be steeped for 1-3 infusions.
